In our approximately 350 acres of vineyard, we are making production with completely good agricultural practices and annually we obtain approximately 200 thousand liters of high quality boutique wine. Besides the fact that it has all the traditional meanings of “good agricultural” practice, we embrace our vision not only to protect the natural resources, but also to understand and to enrich the natural resources in all our practices. Our primary production policy is to get qualified, refined products in which the quality comes to the fore.
In the last 16 years, besides the Italian and French grape types such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Nero d’Avola, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Sangiovese, Petit Verdot, for the first time in Turkey the studies of Boğazkere and Bornova Misket clonal selections have been initiated. Additionally, in accordance with the aim adapted as a principle, the studies for the retrieval of Urla Karası and Gaydura, which are the extinct types of the region and compared genetically and ampelographically, have been continuing effectively for 5 years.
In addition to this, in our vineyards we cultivate the grapes such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Narince, Viognier, Grenache and Mourvedre.
Entering the name of Urla Karası in the World Atlas of Wine is not a consequence for us, but it’s an award of our exciting journey. During our journey, continuing to have new patterns and increasing the antique grape types in our vineyards give us a different excitement.
